Who is Baru?
Barú Swimwear was born from a dream of a couple passionate about the world of fashion, clothing and commerce; our experience in these sectors allowed us to create an idea of entrepreneurship in the Department of Caldas – Colombia.
In 2009, we decided to start again as a company, creating an unconventional line of swimwear and beach accessories. We bet on a more comfortable design concept, diverse in textures and silhouettes, with a fresh and authentic style in each of its finishes, which we complement with handmade embroidery created by women from Caldas, mostly mothers who are heads of households, rural women, displaced by violence, with indigenous roots and multiple knowledge in weaving and various handicrafts.
As a company we make sure to provide you with a product of the highest quality, full of talent, dedication, passion and faithful sample of our Colombian culture.
From our beginnings we have been looking to hire the best suppliers and supplies, the small details that differentiate us and make us fall in love at first sight are the best quality Czech fabrics, the textiles are developed by our brand and also imported from different parts of the world; they also have fabric compositions that take care of the skin with UV filters and are resistant to chlorine. These characteristics allowed us step by step to conquer and position ourselves in the international market.
Currently, the creation process combines the highest technology using specialized embroidery machines, which create the template for the women to follow established patterns on which they perform the beautiful work of hand embroidery.
Thus, Barú Swimwear is standardizing and perfecting its product day by day.
